I bought a condo in The Fountains at Paradise Lakes in October 2007. As an overseas buyer (from the United Kingdom), I had imagined that this would be a difficult process; but, with April Genter guiding me as realtor, it was surprisingly easy and stress- free.  Put simply, April is the consummate realtor.

My wife and I have been in the rental and property business for years in upstate New York.  When we decided to sell out in upstate NY and invest in Florida last year, we contacted several real estate agents in the Tampa area.  Most never even called back.  Of the very few that did, many seemed almost bothered by our call, and told us we would not find what we were looking for.

Thank God we happened to find April.  Not only did she call back the same day, but by the next day we were looking at property with her.  She has returned every call we've ever made to her.  She spent several weekends with us, including the long Labor Day weekend.  Some days we looked at property 12-14 hours a day. 

 It was obvious to us that she was interested in helping us find what we were looking for, not just making a sale for the commission!  She was always optimistic about finding just the right property.  She worked with us at every step.  She never worked against us by trying to talk us into something we didn't want.  She provided us links to search out property on the Internet that we wanted to see.  Thereby, eliminating the steering effect that some real estate agents do so they can show you their own listings.  When we were back here in upstate NY, she would go out and preview property and send us pictures of property we had found on the Internet.

 Being from upstate NY and not knowing the Tampa area, she was invaluable to us.  She was quick to tell us what she knew of the area, i.e. the traffic and trends in the area.  When she didn't know an answer to a question, she said she didn't know.  She didn't fake an answer or guess.  She would say I don't know and then she would try to find an answer for us.  She has many contacts with expertise in a variety of areas.  She often put us in touch with these folks so we could ask them questions.  Often she'd provide us with more than one source so we could ask and receive input from more than one source.

 We are very impressed by April's efforts on our behalf, her dedication and optimism are bar none.  We would recommend her without hesitation to anyone in need of a realtor, especially one they can trust.  We would absolutely use her again  to locate other property.  We would not only use her again, we have come to think of her as a friend, trustworthy, sincere and interested in helping us meet our needs in a win-win, positive fashion.
